Housing Still in High Demand in Northeast Florida
The Median Sales Price of Homes in the Northeast Florida Metro area rose by nearly 3% from April 2022 and a whopping 29% from May of 2021.
Homes stayed on the market a bit longer in May (Median DOM was 14 vs.12 in April) and closed sales had a slight downtick from last month.
New listings, however, increased by nearly 6% giving buyers more choices. With the home affordability index decreasing by 3% buyer demand may cool slightly but the area still remains a strong contender for population growth resulting in continued demand for housing.
