Effective August 17, 2024, realMLS will implement two new data integrity policies: the Written Buyer Agreement Requirements and the Offers of Compensation Prohibited in MLS.
Here is what you need to know:
- Written Buyer Agreement Requirement – All MLS Participants working with a buyer must enter into a written agreement with the buyer prior to touring a home. See section 5.0.1 of the Rules and Regulations for further information.
- Offers of Compensation Prohibited in MLS – Offering compensation in the MLS or any MLS platform will result in a significant immediate fine to the listing agent. If not removed within 24 hours, the broker will also incur a fine.
