realMLS Broker PowerPoints
Tip of the Month from Data Integrity:
Active Under Contract is a status used when an offer has been accepted with contingencies, but the listing is still considered to be on the market.
Differing from Pending, as Active Under Contract indicates while a contingent offer has been accepted, showings must still be available. If showings are not happening, then the appropriate status would be Pending.
While a listing is in Active Under Contract status it is still Active, therefore will expire if it is not changed to ending or if the expiration date is not extended. Properly understanding this status will help meet your client’s expectations and prevent your listing from unexpectedly expiring.
