Flexmls Mapping Features Cheat Sheet

The Flexmls map provides several tools to use as resources. However, learning the functions and capabilities of each tool can be time consuming. Therefore, we’ve created this cheat sheet explaining how each one is used.

Flexmls Mapping Tools

Pan Hand

This is your normal mouse cursor that will allow you to navigate around the map.

Zoom In

You can click and hold your mouse to highlight an area where you want to zoom-in. You can also use this tool to zoom-in to the area you are clicking, which is useful when using Flexmls on a laptop.

Nosy Neighbor

Select any property on the map to provide property information and, if applicable, listing information. To utilize this tool, you must zoom-in until you see boundary lines and house numbers.

Measure

Single-click at any point and move your cursor to measure distance. You can click multiple points to measure the distance of each segment and the total span of length.

Rectangle

Draw a rectangle or square to utilize that shape within your search filters. Click once to start the corner of the shape, move your cursor to make your shape, then click again to complete the rectangle.

Circle

Draw a circle to utilize that shape within your search filters. Click once at the center-point of your circle, then move your cursor to make your shape, then click again to complete the circle. While drawing the shape, you can see the distance of the circle’s radius to adjust as needed.

Polygon

Draw a free-form shape to utilize within your search filters. Click once at the shape’s starting point, move your cursor to click again at the next point. Repeat this process along the perimeter of your shape and double-click at your ending point to complete the polygon. Keep in mind, it must be a single, open shape that does not have intersecting or crossed lines.

Locate Address

Input an address to locate it on the map to utilize it for a new Radius Search (circle) or view area information on the map.

Color Legend

This works as a heat map for color coding listings according to certain details. The options will be adjusted based on your search criteria and results.
