The Northeast Florida Housing Market Continues to Sizzle
The U.S. housing market remains robust, with strong activity reported
across both rental and residential housing fronts. The Median Sales Price is up 18% compared to October of last year. 99.4 % of homes listed received their asking price this month, an increase of 1.3% from October of the prior year and Average Days on Market has decreased by 49% from the same time in 2020.
The October Affordability Index for Northeast Florida was at 124 down by almost 10% from last year meaning that homes are more expensive and the region is becoming less affordable. However, the historic low-interest rates are still driving buyer activity to a frenzied pace.
